Music and sport are of great importance in Dominican culture, with Merengue and Bachata as the national dance and music. There is no shortage of things to do when you come to our beautiful country.
Cabarete is a town in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic, known for its tourism and beaches. Located just 18 km (11 miles) from the main airport, Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP), Cabarete is easily accessible to travelers with daily and weekly direct flights from major US cities including Miami and New York.
It’s no surprise life revolves around the beach in Cabarete. With its laidback lifestyle along with plenty of bars, restaurants, and activities to choose from, we suggest staying at least three nights to take in a fraction of what this beautiful country offers. However, five to seven-night stays are strongly encouraged.
The Dominican Republic has an average temperature of 26 °C (78.8 °F) and great climatic and biological diversity. We recommend visiting between December and April for prime weather conditions. For kite surfing and windsurfing, we suggest visiting between December and August.
