To get to Cabarete you will need to fly into the nearby airport in Puerto Plata. All international flights arrive at Gregorio Luperón International Airport (IATA: POP, ICAO: MDPP), also known as Puerto Plata Airport. To enter the country, a valid passport is needed, along with a return ticket. It’s best to speak with your embassy or airline regarding additional entry requirements including visas and passport expiry dates.

We recommend renting a vehicle prior to arrival. There are several car rental companies (Budget, Payless, Europcar, Sixt) that are located right at the airport. If you decide to take a taxi to Embocca, we will provide our recommendations but can also book the driver if you prefer.
